RJH Cars are pleased to offer a lovely example of the MGB LE. The last of the MGB Roadster built were known as the LE and MG made just 421 of the Roadster between 1979 and 1981. This particular example was purchased by its 1st owner who kept the car until 1997. We have on file the original purchase invoice she had for the car. The car was only produced in Bronze metallic for the roadster and Grey Metallic for the GT version and the car was fitted with the Stag style Alloy Wheels. Originally the car supplied with a very distinctive brown and orange seat trim, thankfully this car has had a some point a Black Leather upgrade to the seats.
We have on file invoices from the 1st owner showing she had bodywork repairs to the car including Inner and outer sills to both sides, lower rear wing, two doors, boot pane and both front wings being replaced demonstrating she clearly looked after the car well. When it was sold in 1998 it shows the new keeper carrying out some additional bodywork and mechanical serving to the car. They kept the vehicle until 2001 where it underwent some improvements to interior and exterior of the car including paintwork. Th car doesn’t appear to have had much use thereafter and invoices and receipts for the car indicate the mileage to be correct on the car. In 2016 the car underwent cylinder head work and the most recent MOT was passed without any advisory work.
The rubber version of the MGB have a played a good part in the history of the MGB and this particular example will offers a very usable example fitted with Overdrive to 3rd and 4th gears, a very tidy hood and recently had a new battery fitted. If you mention MG to any fan of autos, they’ll reminisce about the halcyon days during the 60s and 70s when the MGB was the car everyone wanted. Inspired by sports cars of the day, yet affordable for many, this car, and the MGA, MGC and others would be many petrol-heads first sports car. When the MG RV8 was launched in 1992, it was an updated car with mod cons and a 3.9L engine that roared on to the streets. These days the brand is reborn with the MG3, a sporty small city car available in three modelsthat explored the model’s heritage but brings technology right up to date. Then there’s the ZS, for those who want more space but want to stay economical. Finally, the MG GS, the SUV that retains the sporty looks of the range but gives the added height and space demanded by the modern family. A classic or modern MG awaits. Call 01462 338755, or come by our showroom RJH Cars Ltd in Henlow, Bedfordshire
